Do I Die at Death?

Death occurs when I am forced to abandon my gross material body, which I leave behind as a lifeless lump of matter.

The expiration date for that body is predestined and is enforced by eternal time.

I supplied the life force and energy and consciousness to that machine made of matter which I falsely believed to be “me”.

Death does not affect eternal life. Life is ever existing, never extinguished. Death is matter without the living being.

All forms of life within the universe are arrangements of inanimate matter brought to “life” by the presence of the eternal person within a particular species of material form.

Mr. Smith died. No, the living being left the human body.

The cat was smashed by the car and died. No, the living being left the cat body.

I stepped on an ant and killed it. No, my action forced the living being to leave the ant body. No one died.

Embodied “life and death” is an illusory dream for the eternal living being within the material dimension.

For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain. BG 2- 20
