Śrī Caitanya-Caritāmṛta
By His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad
Ādi-līlā, Chapter 9:39 “Distribute this Krsna consciousness movement all over the world. Let people eat these fruits and ultimately become free from old age and death.”
Madhya-līlā, 20:124 “The Vedic literatures give information about the living entity’s eternal relationship with Kṛṣṇa, which is called sambandha. The living entity’s understanding of this relationship and acting accordingly is called abhidheya. Returning home, back to Godhead, is the ultimate goal of life and is called prayojana.”
Antya-līlā, 11:53-56 “Haridasa Thakura made Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu sit down in front of him, and then he fixed his eyes, like two bumblebees, on the lotus face of the Lord. He held the lotus feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu on his heart and then took the dust of the feet of all the devotees present and put it on his head. He began to chant the holy name of Sri Kṛṣṇa Caitanya again and again. As he drank the sweetness of the face of the Lord, tears constantly glided down from his eyes. While chanting the holy name of Sri Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, he gave up his air of life and left his body.”
